Raciborz Medieval Festival

A long-term collaboration that allowed me to combine photography, storytelling, and branding into full-scale visual campaigns. Since 2011, I’ve had the privilege of creating the annual promotional visuals for the Racibórz Medieval Festival – one of Poland’s most immersive historical reenactment events.

Every year, we start from scratch: new ideas, concepts, slogans, and characters. I am responsible for the entire process – from the initial creative concept, through casting and styling, to directing and shooting full cinematic portraits of reenactors and organizers. These visuals are then used across all media: billboards, posters, websites, and social media.

What makes this project unique is its transformation from simple documentary coverage to an ongoing epic saga. Each campaign has a subtitle (like Power of the Elements, Return to the Roots or Sounds of the Past) and its own visual identity, while remaining part of a cohesive world. All portraits are built like fantasy character posters – stylized, expressive, larger-than-life.

This series is my tribute to those who bring history to life. For over a decade, I’ve worked side-by-side with the same passionate people, portraying them as fierce warriors, mysterious druids, and fire-eyed rebels. The campaign grew with them – and with me.

If a single project shaped my cinematic portrait style more than any other, this is the one.
