BrotherHOOD – Bractwo Kapturów

This is my most ambitious and extensive photo project to date – the result of two years of consistent work, over 30 models from across Poland, and a deep fascination with cinematic portraiture. BrotherHOOD is a visual tale of strength, loyalty, and individuality told through the lens of warrior archetypes.

Each portrait in this 36-piece series was meticulously created with the use of professional movie makeup – battle scars, face paint, dried blood, and dirt became the language of identity. The rawness of analog styling was balanced with subtle digital enhancements, applied only to highlight what was already there in front of the camera. My goal was not to fabricate fantasy, but to amplify reality.

The models – all different in age, expression, and physique – were portrayed as members of a mythical brotherhood. They’re not actors. They’re not warriors. But for a brief moment, under the lights and the camera, they embodied something fierce and ancient.

This project became a turning point in my creative journey. It taught me patience, precision, and trust – in myself and in those who stood in front of my lens. It also marked the moment I began to blend photography with the language of cinema, using color, composition, and narrative atmosphere to build a world much bigger than the frame itself.

This is not just a series of portraits. This is a BrotherHOOD.
